Jen believes Alexandria and the surrounding lakes area is a beautiful community to live, work and play. She believes a strong community is created by people from varied lifestyles, cultures and beliefs. She has served on the Inclusion Network since the fall of 2022.
She was born and raised in Alexandria most of her life, other than living in central VA during her middle school years.
She graduated from Jefferson High school, married, and had two children. She has said many times she has been a “jack of many trades, master of just a couple”. She has been self-employed most of her life in services such as a daycare provider, massage therapist. She currently owns and operates her own professional photography studio in downtown Alexandria.
She has served as a member and on the advisory board with Lakes Area Professional Women, and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics of MN.
Jen enjoys time with her family; husband Kevin, adult children Lola, Danika and son in law Scott and granddaughter Charlie. Her other hobbies are gardening, varied art mediums, home decorating, time on the lake in their boat or kayak.
