Jessica is on the forefront of critical issues and concerns facing her community. As the Executive Director for United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties, Jessica addresses the concerns of her community by collaborating with community members and stakeholders to institute practices for sustainable change.
Growing up in Elbow Lake, MN, Jessica continued her education at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities earning a Bachelor’s degree in Family Social Science. She furthered her studies and obtained a Masters in Community Counseling and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling at St Cloud State University.
Since moving to Alexandria with her husband and two children in 2006, Jessica has been a strong community advocate. Jessica is an active member of Lakes Area Professional Women and volunteers her time with many organizations including Someplace Safe and Rural Aids Action Network. Jessica also serves on the Inclusion Network as a trainer in her continual effort to create change in her community.
The Inclusion Network (IN) is a group of dedicated, passionate people with a common goal: to make Central Minnesota an inclusive and welcoming place for people of all backgrounds to live and work. Our goal is to strengthen the region through an appreciation and understanding of diversity and cultural differences.
