Shari has worked in the collegiate setting for over thirty years in positions ranging from administrative assistant to Human Resources. It was in her capacity in HR that she became the Affirmative Action officer. She considers her career “one big learning curve.” Shari has a BAS in Management and holds her PHR Certification. Shari is currently a board member for the Osakis School District and the Diversity Liaison for the West Central MN SHRM Board.
Shari’s philosophy is simple: “I want to make a difference,” she says. “I want to leave the world a better place.” She is a past president of the Lakes Area Professional Women and finds that organization exhilarating—she enjoys “helping other women on their journeys.” Shari’s interest and strong suit is in the area of Human Resources and Affirmative Action. She endeavors to strengthen that concentration as it relates to socio-economic aspects of society.
Shari enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include reading, playing piano, and enjoying warm weather activities. She is active in her church and volunteers in her community.
